Recently a co-worker of mine said something that resonated with Erin and I in our office and Erin wrote it on our big whiteboard so we will remember it. I thought I would share: PEOPLE DON'T CARE HOW MUCH YOU KNOW. THEY JUST WANT TO KNOW THAT YOU CARE.
I, for one, get so tired of hearing people just 'talk' when they aren't really saying anything. They are just either filling silent space or trying to impress/show off. Sometimes all a person needs is a friend to listen to them. All of the knowledge in the world cannot compare with the feeling when you have a friend who will listen to you and comfort you. It's really so simple, but seems to be so elusive these days...
