State Fair Critters

Recently I went to the Texas State Fair with April and Lauren and we had a great time (wacky, as usual)!  Just like the Minnesota State Fair, my favorite part is the baby animal building.  At the Texas State Fair, they call it the petting zoo.

At any rate, here we go!

Here is some sort of a goat and her tiny baby:

She nuzzled it - so cute!  And it was so young (days old) that the umbilical cord was still attached to the baby - hadn't fallen off yet!
This looks just like the newborn goat that I got to hold out on Mayce's parents' ranch a couple years ago.
 Sweet little peanut!
And talk about mothers nuzzling their babies.......
 These baby donkeys were adorable!
 Cuddling with her baby......
 I think she is smiling??
This was a very odd pairing in one pen....Camels and tortoises?!
And here are the baby piggies!
They were climbing all over each other - so cute!
In the evening, we made our way to the competition building for Pig Races!
 Here's #5 showing her stuff.....
And they brought out a baby piggie to show off.....
The piggie REALLY wanted that bottle - she was teasing it.....
Which made it run after her so it could have the bottle!
Ah, finally caught her and got the prize.  :)
Here are the ACTUAL racing pigs - so cute!

I love the petting zoon a well. It seems every year a llama finds a piece of my clothing and begins to nibble on it. Weird thing is I don't get bent out of shape from it but if my live in lover were to harm one of my garments due to being a guy & not knowing how to wash certain things, well then I would have a problem.
