Thankful Thursday

This week, I am reflecting on my visitors in the past couple months. WOW - I am a very lucky girl to have had so many people that are willing to buy a plane ticket and travel down here to Texas to see me!

Holly from Ohio, Renee & Sara from Minnesota, Barb from Ohio, and my Mom is finishing off the fall season of visitors right now.

I miss all of my friends from far away and it is so nice to have them come and spend time here in Texas, where I call home now. Sometimes if I get down or lonely, I just think about those visitors and that they came down to spend quality time with me and it always makes me feel so much better.

In a way, I kind of like having friends in all different locations - 'friends in low places' if you will. I get to hear about how things are going in all kinds of different places through Facebook and that's interesting and exciting to me. It's like I'm going on a journey through life and it's cool to look back and remember what my life looked like in each of the places I have lived.

There's my childhood years in the suburbs of Minneapolis...then the college years in Eau Claire, Wisconsin....then studying abroad in Spain....then the early career days back in Minneapolis....then the married/divorced years in Toledo, Ohio.....and now my Texas years.

Wow - what a journey and it's still going - I wonder what will come next!
