Missin' You, Snard!

OK, back in 2008 I learned a new work - SNARD. It is in the Urban Dictionary, so I'm not making this up. Snard is the snow/ice/dirt conglomerate that hangs from cars in hard clumps in the winter. I just have this overwhelming compulsion to kick those off - the bigger the chunk, the better! I know I'm not alone in this simple pleasure!
Iris' Jeep used to taunt me when I worked at the SeaGate Centre in Toledo - it usually had some fabulous snard on it, but since we have security cameras down there, I felt a little weird about walking up to cars and 'kicking' them! But I know that Iris would understand that I NEEDED to kick the snard off her car. :)

This is one of the things I REALLY miss about living in the north during the winter months......one of the FEW things. But if I'm being honest, I would have to admit that I miss the snow a little bit - just a really good hard snowfall......but then again, a 'really good hard snowfall' up in Toledo 2 years ago caused me to have to cancel a vacation to see my Mom and I also had to SHOVEL MY YARD so that Maggie would have a cleared out area in the grass to go potty. SICK!!!

I have that same obsession to kick that crap off of my car. However, I can truly say that I wouldn't miss the snow if it didn't come. People drive like complete goofs when we get a flake or two.

You must have taken this picture from here yesterday. I tried to venture toward our old "love nest" and it look me an hour to get to Penn and 98th from work. That sucked.

Did my picture mail of the snard make you sad or happy? PS It's 5 degrees here today. FIVE.

PPS My Jeep had the BEST snard.

Your picture of snard made me happy - I love it! I just wish I could kick some off myself! Your Jeep created AMAZING snard. It was simply irresistible. :)

I miss the snow a little bit, but NOT the super freezing temps. NOT AT ALL. It's going to be 64 degrees and sunny here today and I'm happy as a clam. :)
