Vet Update

I took Maggie to the vet to have him look at a little bump on her back. He called her "Little Red", which I thought was really cute. She seemed to like him and wasn't nervous at all (but she was VERY curious about the meowing she heard through the exam room door!). He looked at and felt the little bump and didn't seem too concerned about it. He said that we're just going to keep an eye on it and that I should check it about every week to see if it gets any bigger. If it does, then I need to take her back in to see him. Otherwise, we are going to re-evaluate it in May when she's due for her annual shots....So basically I don't have any definitive answers, but I'm just going to stay calm and monitor it.....
PS - They weighed her at the vet and she weighs 12.1 pounds. All of the documentation on mini dachshunds indicates that the mini's are between 10-12 pounds. So Maggie is a freak? No, she is just extra long for a mini. Most mini's are a little less stretched out and lengthy. hahaha The vet says she looks great.

I'm proud of "Little Red" for being such a good girl at the vet!
