The Great State of Oklahoma
On my short jaunt to Oklahoma City, we just kind of happened upon the Capitol building and decided to check it out. Here it is!
It was very pretty and regal-looking on this very hot day.
I'm not sure of the story behind it, but I liked this native American statue out front....
Domes and columns - does every state capitol have those? lol
I loved this sign - "You're doin' fine, Oklahoma!"
Very pretty seal.....
A buckin' bronco.....
So beautiful!
This seal was above the door - inside the columns.
Above the main entrance....
Lookin' up....

I loved the view - if it were a little cooler, I could've sat there all day.
This is my view out from the steps where we were hanging out...See the oil tower-thingy? Oklahoma is the only state that has active oil rigs on its capitol grounds. The capitol building sits atop the Oklahoma City Oil Field.
I loved this light - so pretty...
Columns are so regal - I love them....
