What's For Lunch?

A couple weeks ago, as part of my Thankful Thursday, I talked about 'personalized gifts' as something I was thankful for. This bag below is what inspired me writing about them.

My friend Erin from work gave me this lunch thermal tote for my birthday (yes, 4 months early) because she had just ordered it and was excited to give it to me since the other 2 women in our department have spring birthdays and they got their personalized bag and she wanted to give me mine at the same time!

They are super cute patterns and then embroidered in whatever color you want and you can pick your font too. They hold a lot and keep everything nice and cold. I just think it was a super cute idea and it means a lot when a gift is personalized. Nice job and thank you, Erin - I love mine!!

High Tea in North Texas

I do try to keep politics out of my blog and off of the internet, but sometimes I just can't! As most of you know, I am a very fervent conservative and am very passionate about a lot of issues. A couple weeks ago, my friend Laura and I went to the Lone Star Tea Party in Grand Prairie - at QuikTrip Park where the Grand Prairie Airhogs play minor league baseball.

It was my first tea party and we were both super stoked about going.

Look at this awesome STAFF shirt!

At this tea party, I was so proud to be an American and extremely proud to now be a Texan! GOD BLESS TEXAS! See the picture below - AMEN!

Here's my favorite morning talk radio guy - Mark Davis from 820AM. He was the MC for the night.

Everyone had super awesome signs and everyone was so freaking patriotic and passionate - gotta love that.

I really want to get a T-shirt that has the coiled up snake and "Don't Tread on Me." AWESOMENESS.

You betcha they are!!

There were people of all ages and backgrounds there - just pure, red-blooded Americans who want our country back! Down with socialism!

I want this T-shirt!

This guy was moving fast, so I had to chase him down to get this pic (sorry for the blurriness), but I had to get this photo op! Securi-Tea!

And as Laura and I were heading out the front entrance to the ballpark, a man from a radio station booth (660 KSKY) wanted to shake our hands and introduce himself.....wellllll, it was Jon-David Wells! My favorite afternoon talk radio guy that got canned from stupid 570 KLIF. Now he's on KSKY and I am SO FREAKING GLAD he's back!

When I asked if I could get a picture with him, I was thinking..."Man am I getting old and nerdy - I used to want pictures with rock stars and heartthrobs, now I want a picture with conservative talk show hosts!" But I don't care - I was STOKED. And more so because I didn't know he was coming back until that night when he was in the new radio station's booth and announcing his show moving over there. I was BEYOND excited!

Laura and I had to take pictures of the funny bumper stickers on the way to our cars......

DAMN RIGHT!

There were a TON of local/city tea parties that had booths there, selling bumper stickers and T-shirts. I wanted to buy one of EVERYTHING, but I refrained because I didn't want to be obnoxious (we all know THOSE cars)....

Nice job, north Texas! Way to rise up on Tax Day! I'm proud to be a part of it!

This says it all!

Florida Outtakes!

Ya know when you go on a group trip somewhere and everyone is taking pictures with their own cameras and they always say "Ooooh - you have to email me THAT one!" and then when everyone gets home, no one shares their pictures? One word - ANNOYING (and I'm guilty of it too, which means that I am also annoying)!

Anyway, when the Governors B*tches were all in Florida a couple weeks ago, we said those very words - "We should all post these to a common site and then we can share pictures!" I thought it would be about a 50/50 chance that we would all follow through......but I was pleasantly surprised! I think that as of now, 4 of the 5 of us uploaded our pics to a common site and shared them (get on that, WeeWee!). Impressive, ladies!

OK, here are some shared pictures from the other girls - and I will call this post "Outtakes" because it includes some weird and funny ones......

Shauna, Renee, Allison & Lauri - Universal Studios

Allison & Claire warding off a DISASTER!

Me at the Kennedy Space Center observation tower...

Shauna being sassy!

More toes in the sand.....I LOVE this one.

I think this might be Claire and Shauna do-si-do'ing on the beach???

Time to leave the beach and drive back to the condo for some margies in the hot tub - it's a rough life, but someone's gotta live it!

Me, Shauna, Claire & Renee - being one with nature.....but Claire is the true tree-hugger here.

Allison and her new bff....
