Homecoming Legacy

A couple weeks ago, my friend Renee invited me to go to a high school Homecoming football game with her and another friend in Mansfield.  Renee's daughter is the drum major for the band at Legacy High School and she is a senior, so it was a big game.

Waiting for the football players to run through the big blow-up thing onto the field!

And here they are!

Nothing like Friday Night Lights - a big deal here in Texas.
Here's the other team coming out of their blow-up lion's mouth......
The awesome marching band and dancers........

Here is Renee's daughter, Kristi, doing her thing on the platform!

I just love the national anthem at ANY sporting event.  And I, of course, love the Texas flag as well.  :)
These kids had their stuff TOGETHER.
There weren't many fans on the other team's side, but Legacy's side was pretty full!
 Doin' their thang.
 Everything was so well-orchestrated.....
This was so cool - members of the marching band would walk up these teeter-totter platforms and balance on there while playing their instruments!
I'm pretty sure you could have a seizure watching this whole thing - the dancers, flags flying everywhere, the band moving around, etc.
Coming off the platforms.....
There is some serious talent here.....
What a cool formation - they all laid down in their spot!
The Legacy Broncos came out of the big blow-up bronco at the end of the field after half-time.
 I love the smoke effect!
