Small Town Charm!

I just have to say that Granbury was the cutest little town ever! Laura and I had a fantastic time - the Buddy Holly show, shopping at cute gift shops, eating at unique restaurants, the ghost tour, etc. Everything was so quaint - a nice break from Big D!

The town was just like out of a movie - look at these folks just hanging out - and the barber pole!

The old buildings were gorgeous - reminded me of Water Street in Eau Claire, WI - where I went to college. Each one was different and they were all in a row. SO COOL.

Laura decided that we have to come back to Granbury when she buys a house so that she can pick up all of the cool Texas decorations that she saw. We both bought big signs that say "God Bless Texas" on them. Gotta love this great state!

The courthouse in the middle of the little town square was really pretty (but I must say, Waxahachie's is WAY prettier) - but the clock at the top said the same time all day long....someone needs to get on that.

We wanted to get something to drink and one of the cute little shops sold pop (yes, I said POP) in glass bottles like when we were little! I couldn't resist!

We both had so much fun - the first of many adventures. Laura's request for adventure #2 is Waco & Crawford (she is a HUGE George W. Bush fan - so she calls Crawford "The Western White House"). I'm game!!
