Lately, I have been succumbing to a very bad habit.....falling asleep on the couch watching TV in the evening and then waking up in the middle of the night (usually between 1am & 3am) with a crazy sore neck/back and going to what I now call "real bed."

This is bad for a number of reasons:
1. It breaks up the night's sleep
2. It wastes electricity - lights and TV are on for many hours when no one is using them
3. It is very bad for my neck and back (my massage therapist confirmed that!)

4. It annoys Maggie - she gets comfortable on the couch and then I interrupt her sleep to go to 'real bed'.
5. I have to believe that it's not really good sleep when the lights and TV are on.
6. It's a shame to sleep on a couch when I have two big beds upstairs!

I really need to STOP this habit and just GO TO BED at a decent hour in 'real bed!'

This is somehow fun though...I do it at least once a week.
This sounds all too familiar to me too. At least 1 or 2 times a week I fall asleep in my big comfy chair trying to watch Letterman through my eye lids. I should know better and just go to bed but I don't. Bad, bad habit on my part....

That's what a TV in the bedroom is for! Allison
